Citizen Family Dons Big Day returns

26 September 2012

MK Dons return to League 1 action this weekend when they take on Crewe Alexandra at stadiummk, a match which has been chosen as the first Citizen Family Dons Big Day of the season.

Before the football gets underway at 3pm, there will be plenty of fun activities going on outside the ground for the whole family to enjoy.

Outside the stadium between 12 and 3pm you will find the ever-popular Digger Derby, the inflatable slide, the Goal-Don shot, the Realm of Reptiles, football skill sessions and many more.

There will also be stands from many of our local companies and services including Bucks Fire and Rescue, the Police and the Armed Forces.

Live music will also be provided courtesy of the Marshall Rock Truck which will be based outside of the Arena during the afternoon. Georgia Boyd and Chloe Allen (pictured above) are two of the acts that will be performing, with the latter from last year’s Family Dons Big Day. The Radcliffe Rollers steel band will also make an appearance by the Rock Truck at 2pm.

The day will also provide supporters with the opportunity to celebrate the achievement of our Milton Keynes based athletes, games-makers, torchbearers and coaches who made the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics such a great occasion as they will make an appearance at half-time.

Also at half-time a number of your favourite furry mascots from in and around Milton Keynes will make a special appearance for the mascot race including: Twizzle and Twirl, Lemur, Prince and Gully Mouse as well as Donnie and Mooie of course.

All this will take place before what is bound to be an enthralling game of football which will see Karl Robinson’s side lock horns with newly-promoted Crewe Alexandra.

Tickets for this action-packed day are available to buy at the discounted price of £10 for adults and £1 for Under-18s.

Disabled and senior tickets are also priced at £10 while Under-21 supporters can purchase their tickets for £7 if they are a member.
