MK Dons’ upcoming npower League 1 home fixture against Leyton Orient has been rescheduled to Wednesday 7th November; kick-off 7.45pm at stadiummk.
The Football League has moved the game - which was due to be played on Tuesday 6th November - due to Leyton Orient’s FA Cup game at Gloucester City on Sunday 4th November.
MK Dons Football Club was not agreeable to the initial request to put the game back given such short notice. A number of major events are booked in at the stadium that week and on matchday, specifically scheduled around the fixture and with no home game scheduled prior to 6 November, the opportunity to communicate the change to supporters would be limited.
However, the Football League has arbitrated and voted in favour of the change of date. The League were amenable to moving the fixture to either 27th November or 18th December, but the proximity of these dates to Christmas, with many events booked at the stadium and supporters naturally already committed to other events, were not viable. Manager, Karl Robinson understandably did not want to delay the fixture until after Christmas.
The Football Club regrets the late notice to change the fixture which has obvious financial implications and will inconvenience season ticket holders, supporters as well as clients and guests who had booked events and functions at the stadium.
Anyone who has purchased a casual ticket for this fixture and is unable to attend the new date should contact the Box Office on 01908 622900.
The offers for supporters to purchase two tickets for just £25 in the Family Area, Cowshed, Standard Corner, East Wing and Away End or two tickets for £40 in clubred remains in place for the new date.
