Tom Flanagan was the only loanee on a winning side this weekend, after he helped Gillingham to a 1-0 victory over AFC Wimbledon.
Flanagan, who made his 14th appearance for Martin Allen’s side, played a key role in the Gills’ 11th triumph of the season as they move five points clear at the top of League Two.
Elsewhere, Jabo Ibehre’s Colchester United could only take a point away from Shrewsbury after the two League One sides drew 2-2 on Saturday.
The U’s are now unbeaten in four games and lie in 12th place after turning around a slow start to the season.
Ibehre set up Karl Duguid to score a winner late on but the midfielder couldn’t find the target, while the Islington-born forward had his own chance to earn all three points but his shot was saved at the near post.
George Baldock, Charlie Collins and Tamworth fell to a surprising 1-0 defeat to Ebbsfleet United which sees the Lambs fall into 9th in the Blue Square Premier.
Baldock played 58 minutes before being substituted while striker Charlie Collins was an unused sub.
Finally, Awadh Ahmed came on as a 71st minute substitute in only his second appearance for Histon but couldn’t prevent them dropping into the relegation zone after a 2-1 defeat to top-of-the-table Chester City.
Jordan Ivey-Ward missed the Stutes’ defeat through injury.
