Loan round-up...

8 October 2012

Jabo Ibehre’s impressive form for Colchester United continued as he netted his third goal in as many games for the U’s at the weekend.

The U’s went behind in the 20th minute but Ibehre equalised four minutes later, tapping in from close range but it was not enough to prevent Joe Dunne’s side from falling to a 3-1 defeat at Yeovil Town.

Tom Flanagan helped Gillingham extend their stay at the top of League 2 as he played a part in the goalless draw at Oxford United on Saturday.

The result brought an end to the Gills’ 100 per cent winning record on the road this season but Martin Allen’s side remain three points clear of second placed Port Vale.

Midfielder George Baldock and forward Charlie Collins both featured for Tamworth in their 2-1 defeat to top-of-the-league Newport County on Saturday.

Baldock started and was eventually substituted in the 60th minute for former-Aston Villa and Sheffield United man Lee Hendrie while 20-year-old Collins came on as a 71st minute substitute but neither two could help the Lambs avoid a defeat which sees them slip stay in 7th place in the Blue Square Premier.

Finally, Jordan Ivey-Ward grabbed his second goal in as many games for Histon in their F.A Cup Third Round Qualifying draw with Corby Town.

Ivey-Ward, who scored on his debut for the Stutes, drilled home a corner just after half-time to give his side the lead before Corby pulled one back to force a replay.

Awadh Ahmed was also involved in the game, coming on as a second-half substitute to help earn the Blue Square North side a re-match on Wednesday night.
