Tom returns for surgery

20 November 2012

MK Dons can today confirm that defender Tom Flanagan has returned to the Club to undergo surgery on a fracture in his foot.

Flanagan suffered the injury ahead of the Gills’ game with Morecambe on Saturday and has since arrived back at stadiummk where he will recover under the watchful eyes of the medical team following his operation, which will take place today.

The towering centre-half made 15 appearances for Martin Allen’s during his three month stay in Kent and also received a call-up to the Northern Ireland U-21 squad after a string of impressive performances.

Flanagan is expected to be out for up to 12 weeks before linking back up with his Dons team-mates on the training ground.
