O'Shea in Spireites switch

Jay O’Shea has today (Tuesday) agreed a deal to join League 2 side Chesterfield on loan until and including Saturday 5th January.

O’Shea, who has scored two goals in 16 appearances for the Dons so far this season, has seen a limited amount of game time and manager Karl Robinson has allowed the Dublin-born winger to join the Spireites for six weeks.

The 24-year-old will link up with his Derbyshire team-mates this afternoon and he will be eligible to play in their game against Cheltenham Town this evening. He will then be available for the matches against Plymouth Argyle, Port Vale, Burton Albion, York City, Morecambe, Accrington Stanley and Wycombe Wanderers.

This will be O’Shea’s first spell away from the Club since signing in August 2011 but he has enjoyed successful loan spells at Middlesbrough, Stevenage and Port Vale in the past.
