Movember draws to a close

29 November 2012

There are only two days left before the end of Movember and so it’s time to dig deep and raise last minute funds for Prostate Cancer UK.

Several members of the Dons squad have been growing moustaches all month in order to raise money and awareness for the Football League’s Official Charity Partner for 2012/13.

Karl Robinson’s side avoided defeat during Movember and the five wins and two draws in the fundraising month saw them climb into third place in League 1.

Also, defender Shaun Williams, who dons one of the most notable and impressive ‘taches, has netted four times since he donated his top lip, including an injury-time penalty here at stadiummk, against the then-second placed Sheffield United.

So far the Club has raised a total of £712 which sees them lie 16th in the Football League Movember table, in between Northampton Town and Derby County.
