Colchester United team news

24 November 2012

Patrick Bamford is handed his first start in a Dons shirt as Karl Robinson makes two changes to the side that drew 2-2 with Shrewsbury Town in mid-week.

Bamford, who joined on loan from Chelsea prior to Thursday's deadline, starts up front in place of the suspended Alan Smith while Adam Chicksen replaces the injured Dean Lewington.

Lewington’s absence means that Stephen Gleeson is handed the captain’s armband in a starting XI that remains unchanged elsewhere.

Loan signing Zeli Ismail, whose switch was confirmed by a Football League committee yesterday afternoon, takes his place on the bench alongside fellow loanee Ibra Sekajja who will be hoping to make his first appearance for the Dons this afternoon.

MK Dons (4-2-3-1): Martin; Otsemobor, Williams, Kay, Chicksen; Gleeson (c), Potter; Bowditch, Chadwick, Balanta; Bamford.

Subs: McLoughlin (GK), Kouo-Doumbe, MacDonald, Lowe, Galloway, Sekajja, Ismail.

Colchester United (4-3-3): Sullivan; Wilson, Okuonghae, Eastman, Potts; Bond, Eastmond, Wordsworth; Henderson, Morrison, Sears.

Subs: Cousins (GK), Rose, Duguid, Bean, Massey, White, Thompson.
