Winger Angelo Balanta has today extended his loan spell with the Club, keeping him at stadiummk until 2nd January.
Balanta, who joined the Dons on loan for a third time last month, has been in impressive form since returning to the Club and has started every game he has been eligible for including his debut at Crawley Town having signed only hours prior to kick-off.
The Columbian-born forward’s deal was set to expire after tomorrow’s clash with Shrewsbury Town but he will now be available for the tough League 1 fixtures with Colchester United, Brentford, Hartlepool United, Doncaster Rovers, Walsall, Coventry City before playing his final game away at Notts County.
And manager Karl Robinson is unsurprisingly delighted at being able to keep hold of the 22-year-old for a little longer. He said: “We are grateful to QPR for letting us have Angelo (Balanta) until the beginning of January.
“He has been in terrific form since signing last month and has provided us with something different out wide with his natural pace and skill. Now he has a run of games under his belt, I’m sure we’ll see the best of him in the coming weeks.
“I have no doubt that he will be crucial to us picking up points throughout the busy Christmas schedule.”
