Get a Futsal scholarship

5 July 2012

Milton Keynes Dons Sport and Education Trust are introducing the phenomenon that is Futsal football to the city with ambitions of improving the technical elements of local players' games.

MK Dons as a Club and Academy are rapidly developing a reputation for a style of play which is different to the typical 'English way' and adopts aspects of the nations European and South American counterparts.

Futsal is a fast-paced game which forces players to work harder under pressure, in tight areas by using the combination of quick passing and inventive individual creativity to gain success.

Futsal tests even the most talented players and strengthens their all-round game, and the SET recently delivered their Futsal Introductory Festival at Woughton on the Green in a completion against Newbury for player aged between 16-18 years old.

The SET are continuing to strengthen the reputation of Futsal by rolling out Futsal Scholarship for 16-18 year-olds who are looking to combine an academic course with a comprehensive Futsal training and playing programme allowing learners to represent MK Dons against other professional Football League clubs.

The course begins in September and we are recruiting 17 players now, there are still some places available therefore apply quickly to avoid disappointment.
MK Dons SET would like to pass on their thanks to all players in attendance and to Berks and Bucks FA for their help and support of the event.
