With FA Cup preventing both Jabo Ibehre and Jay O’Shea making appearances this past weekend, it was a chance for the loanees at non-League clubs to take centre-stage.
Midfielder George Baldock played the full 90 minutes in Tamworth’s 3-2 come-from-behind victory over Dartford, which saw the Lambs climb into 9th place in the Blue Square Premier.
Baldock, who had several efforts well saved in the first-half, played a role in the Staffordshire outfit’s first equaliser after his blocked shot led to handball in the penalty area which resulted in a spot-kick for the hosts. Charlie Collins was an unused substitute for Marcus Law’s side.
Elsewhere, Jordan Ivey-Ward was a 74th minute substitute for Histon in their 4-1 loss to Bradford Park Avenue.
The young striker has been out of action since mid-October with injury but his return will no doubt be a boost for the Stutes’ as they fight to pull themselves out of the relegation zone. Awadh Ahmed was among the replacements for Histon.
