Report: Southend United 5-1 Under-23s

Defeat for Young Dons in Essex...

A youthful MK Dons Under-23s were beaten 5-1 by Southend United in their latest Central League South clash.

MK Dons took an early lead in Essex thanks to an 18-yard effort from Dylan Asonganyi but Southend drew level 12 minutes later through Emile Acquah.

Acquah then doubled his tally with a header before Terrell Egbri made it 3-1 with 36 minutes on the clock.

Matt Rush added to the lead before the break and netted a second late on, securing a comprehensive home victory and leaving the Dons without a win from their opening three matches in the competition.

MK Dons: Rose, Sule, Leach, Black, Sorinola, Freeman, Brennan, Rowley, Pattison, Holmes, Asonganyi.

Subs: Carter, Robinson, Bailey, Jallow, Crane
