MK Dons Under-18s suffered a 3-1 defeat in their second EFL Youth Alliance League fixture of the season.
All four goals were scored within the first 45 minutes of play, which made up the score-line at the final whistle. The travelling team produced a two-goal lead before Callum Hall halved the deficit.
Moments before the interval, the opposition restored their two-goal advantage. No goals were produced during the second half, which saw a 3-1 defeat at full-time.
Sharing his thoughts on the second league match, Lead PDP Head Coach John Bitting said “There’s still a lot to work on with this group.
“We’re facing teams that are playing their 19-year-olds, which presents a bigger challenge for us, but that’s a part of dealing with football at this level.
“From an emotional and intelligence point of view, it was a really good learning curve for the players to start understanding how to deal with moments during a game.
“With our group there’s still a lot of learning that has to take place, but it’s still so early on in the season. We demand a lot from our players, and they will need to learn how to demand that not only from themselves but also from one another to help develop the group.”
