MK Dons Under-18s suffered their fifth straight EFL Youth Alliance defeat after they travelled to the VBS Community Stadium to face Sutton United
Following the success from their EFL Youth Alliance League Cup Regional Final, MK Dons returned their attention to the league where they prepared for Sutton United.
A swift turnaround from Saturday’s cup victory left MK Dons with two days of preparation ahead of their league skirmish on the road.
John Bitting made three changes to Saturday’s side with Dani Lucas, Johsua Adepoju and Jediah Bombo all being replaced by Kyle Boyce, Phoneix Scholtz and Isaac Olaleye.
The home side had drawn 2-2 against Southend United the weekend prior to this league fixture. Ultimately, if the U’s were to claim victory, they would replace the Dons as the fifth standing within the Group C table.
The hosts had proved themselves the stronger side once MK Dons suffered a 2-0 defeat against Sutton United. This also means that the young Dons are now five consecutive league games without a result.
John Bitting’s boy will look to exterminate their poor recent league form as they assemble for their next fixture against Brentford on Saturday 4 February.
