A 4-1 loss on the road resulted in three consecutive EFL Youth Alliance league defeats for the young Dons.
Following their 3-2 victory over Southend, MK Dons have struggled to find success within their previous three league fixtures. Shortcomings to Cambridge United and Stevenage have now been increased by AFC Wimbledon.
The Dons have managed to score in all the recent defeats that they’ve suffered, however, it’s been difficult for them to match their opponents score-line to grab a result.
Corvell Pickering, who netted previously against Stevenage, found himself on the scoresheet once again. The number seven has now amounted a total of three goal contributions in nine starts for the Under-18s.
Although Pickering increased his tally and all substitutes were used, it wasn’t enough to catch up to the home side’s three-goal advantage.
John Bitting’s boys will look to bounce-back on Wednesday as they host Southend United, a team which the Dons claimed their most-recent victory against.
