MK Dons Women return to Stadium MK action on Sunday afternoon as they host Billericay Town in their upcoming FAWNL Southern Premier Division clash.
Previously, Dons Women suffered a setback which saw Cheltenham Town take all three points in the most-recent league skirmish. However, the hosts will seek to return to winning ways on their home soil.
Due to their recent result, Charlie Bill’s Women dropped to seventh in the league table, although if the team were to acquire three points against Billericay, they could ascend to within the top four teams of the league.
Kick-off is at 2:00pm.
THE OPPOSITION
Billericay Town currently sit above MK Dons with one point between the two teams. Town have accumulated a total of eight points so far from two wins and two draws with only one loss to their name.
Town’s only league defeat so far this season was against the current third-place side, Rugby Borough. MK Dons will look to increase the travelling team’s tally of defeats this weekend.
LAST TIME OUT
MK Dons saw late heartbreak through an action-packed final 15 minutes of the Cheltenham clash. Although the Robins opened the scoring, the visitors overturned their lead and produced a 3-1 score-line.
Yet, to the Dons’ dismay, the action didn’t conclude there. The home side managed to claw their way back into the match and their resilience proved costly to MK Dons, who suffered a 4-3 defeat on the road as a result.
Billericay Town gathered their second draw of the season in a six-goal game against Cardiff City Ladies. Both teams crafted three goals throughout the 90 minutes played to produce a 3-3 score-line at the final whistle.
