MK Dons Women secured their first FAWNL Southern Premier Division victory of the season by beating Plymouth Argyle 3-1 at Stadium MK.

Charlie Bill’s side ended the calendar year in style, seeing off the Pilgrims with a superb home display and a result which lifts them above their opponents and to within seven points of safety.

Tricia Gould gave the Dons a first-half lead thanks to a fantastic strike but Plymouth equalised after the break.

The Dons restored their lead through Marianne Taho’s superb goal before Laura Bright sealed all three points with a looping header to make it 3-1.
