MK Dons Ladies moved closer to top spot in the FA Women’s Premier League South East Division 1 table courtesy of a 2-0 victory away at Stevenage.
Second-half goals from Kim Farrow and Heather McDonnell secured the win for James Honeyman’s side, who are now six points off first-placed AFC Wimbledon with three games in hand.
After a tightly-contest first 45 minutes, the Dons edged ahead through Farrow’s cool finish on 56 minutes.
Heather McDonell then made sure of the three points with five minutes to play, sending a lob over the Stevenage goalkeeper from 30-yards out.
MK Dons Ladies host Norwich City this Sunday, where they will be looking to make it six wins a row.
