MK Dons Ladies moved to within three points of top spot in the FA Women’s Premier League South East Division One courtesy of their eighth successive victory.
Leah Cudone scored twice against Actonians to secure the win for James Honeyman’s side, who are now within a victory of leaders AFC Wimbledon while still holding two games in hand.
Substitute Cudone netted her first goal in the 49th minute - a superb strike from distance which left the goalkeeper with no chance. She followed that up with a composed finish from an excellent through ball with a quarter of an hour left to play.
The Dons host bottom-of-the-table Haringey Borough this weekend, where a ninth win in a row would see them move level on points with AFC Wimbledon at the division’s summit.
