Ryan Colclough was one of the Dons’ top targets for this season and the Club were able to secure the winger’s services on the final day of the summer transfer window.

The Burslem-born forward began his career with Crewe Alexandra and he signed his first professional contract with the Cheshire outfit two months prior to his 18th birthday.

He featured 21 times in his debut season, helping the Alex win the Checkatrade Trophy at Wembley Stadium and secure their status in League One. He also grabbed his first senior goal in a League One clash with AFC Bournemouth.

In the 2015/16 season, he scored eight goals in 30 appearances before Wigan Athletic swooped to secure the attacker’s services for an undisclosed fee in late January 2016.

Colclough scored twice in seven starts for the Latics during the final three months of the season, helping the Greater Manchester outfit claim the League One title in style.

He was limited to just two appearances for Wigan at the start of this campaign so will be looking to build on his fantastic 2015/16 showing with the Dons at Stadium MK.
