Nicky Maynard re-signed for MK Dons in July, ensuring the Dons kept their leading goalscorer from the 2015/16 campaign.

Maynard initially moved to Stadium MK on a short-term deal in September 2015 and went on to score seven goals in 23 starts.

The striker began his career with Crewe Alexandra but moved to Bristol City for a reported £2.25 million after establishing himself as one of the hottest young goalscorers in the country.

His good form continued at Ashton Gate and in January 2011 he earned himself a transfer to then-Championship outfit West Ham United.

After leaving the Hammers in 2012, Maynard enjoyed a spells with Cardiff City and Wigan Athletic, the latter as a loanee, before joining the Dons early on in the 2015/16 campaign.
