Midfielder Darren Potter is MK Dons’ vice captain and 2016/17 is his fifth campaign at Stadium MK.

Potter began his career with Liverpool in July 2003, however he had to wait just over a year for his first-team debut with the Reds in August 2004 in a Champions League qualifier against Graz AK.

He made 17 appearances for Liverpool, spending most of 2006 on loan at Southampton and then Wolverhampton Wanderers, before joining the Molineux club for £250,000 in January 2007.

Potter became a Republic of Ireland international during his time at Wolves and went on to make 56 League appearances for the West Midlanders before being loaned to Wednesday in January 2009, going on to sign a permanent deal at Hillsborough that season.

He then joined the Dons in July 2011 and was named the side’s Player of the Year in his first season at Stadium MK.

Offering a calm and reassuring presence in midfield, Potter optimises the style of play which has become iconic with the Dons and he is currently closing in on 250 appearances for the Club.
