MK Dons signed former Arsenal attacking midfielder Chuks Aneke to a one-year deal just prior to the start of the 2016/17 campaign.

Aneke began his career with the Gunners and made one first-team appearance for Arsene Wenger in an EFL Cup clash against Shrewsbury Town.

The playmaker spent time on loan with Stevenage, Preston North End and Crewe Alexandra during his time at the Emirates Stadium, and with the latter he really shone – scoring 24 goals in 82 games across two seasons.

At the end of the 2013/14 season, Aneke left Arsenal and made a switch to Belgium Pro League outfit Zulte Waragem on a three-year deal.  He featured regularly during his first season with the club but a knee injury disrupted his second and final season in mainland Europe.

Aneke left Waragem by mutual consent this summer and after a series of negotiations opted for a move to MK1, where he will continue his rehab and look to get back playing and scoring goals as soon as possible.
