Goalkeeper David Martin was named MK Dons’ Player of the Year in their inaugural Sky Bet Championship campaign.

The Romford-born custodian, who began his career with Wimbledon and made the transition to Milton Keynes, made 25 appearances for the Dons before joining the then-European champions Liverpool in January 2006.

His four-year stay at Anfield saw him become a regular with the Reds reserves, who won the Premier Reserve League northern title in 2007/08, though his first team opportunities were limited by the outstanding form of Spaniard Pepe Reina.

Martin returned to the Club in 2010 and instantly earning the number 1 shirt. Since then, he has tallied over 300 appearances and over 100 clean sheets.
