STADIUM PLUGS IN TO MARSHALL

Posted on: Sat 18 Jul 2009

Marshall Amplification - the worldwide leaders in guitar amplification - will help MK Dons bring the house down at stadiummk next season, as part of their new strategic partnership with the Club.

Having seen the famous Marshall script adorn the front of the Dons jersey ever since the Club's emergence five years ago, the iconic amplification giant will now move its sponsorship from the shirt to the Club's big screen, as well as pre-match and half-time entertainment at stadiummk.

This will allow the Dons' in-house matchday production team to invest in a host of new enhancements to make games at stadiummk an unforgettable experience for all the family. The stadium's big screen will be the first facility to benefit - receiving a distinctive Marshall makeover and improving its coverage of first team fixtures with a host of new cameras and in-house production equipment. The improvements will also filter through to other screens in the stadium including those in bars, restaurants and hospitality boxes.

Lee Scriven, the Club's head of matchday production, said: "Some of the biggest and best live acts in music have performed with the famous Marshall stack".

"For us to be producing matchday entertainment supported by Marshall Amplification is a huge privilege, so we'll really have to kick it up a notch and I'm sure the fans won't be disappointed."

Dons Chairman Pete Winkelman said: "Marshall Amplification have been our biggest supporters over the last five years and I'd like to personally thank Jim Marshall for his ongoing support. We're incredibly excited about breaking new ground with them once more.

"Having such an iconic, identifiable brand as our lead sponsor has helped us establish a strong brand of our own, but for a company that has played such a huge part in the development of live entertainment to agree to support our matchday experience is a real stamp of approval.

"The Marshall team know exactly what it takes to get a venue rocking and, with their help, visits to stadiummk will become a truly memorable experience for all the family."

A spokesman from Marshall Amplification said: "It has been an honour to be associated with the Dons and our support is as strong now as it was at the beginning.

"As time passes our involvement with the Dons evolves, but the one thing that remains constant is our total support for the club and Pete Winkelman.

"Marshall would like to take this opportunity to wish the Dons every success in the future."

Milton Keynes Dons expects to unveil a new lead shirt sponsor later this week.
