Born in Saint Claude, Guadeloupe in 1973, Willy's career started with Le Mans in France where he played with a young Didier Drogba.
He moved to these shores on a free transfer to join Millwall in 2000. After four years at the New Den where he never really had the chance to shine, Gueret joined Swansea City and quickly installed himself as their number one. He made 132 league appearances for the Swans before joining the Dons in the summer of 2007. A wonderfully athletic shot stopper with a great presence behind the back four, he will play a key role for the Dons this season.
