Former-Republic of Ireland Under-23 international Shaun joined MK Dons from Sporting Fingal in February 2011, but was unable to feature for the club due to the move taking place outside the transfer window.
A highly-rated midfielder, Shaun enjoyed a successful season with League of Ireland side Sporting Fingal, who have since folded, in 2010, captaining the side and making his European debut in the UEFA Europa League second qualifying round against Maritimmo.
Dublin-born Shaun was voted Professional Footballers' Association of Ireland Young Player of the Year and was nominated for the senior award in 2010. He began his career at Drogheda United where he signed a full-time deal in 2006, but was loaned out to Dundalk and Finn Harps before moving to Sporting Fingal in 2008.
Shaun's eye for a pass, ability to retain the ball and love of a challenge will strengthen the Dons' midfield following the departure of Peter Leven.
