After earning a one-year contract following a trial period in the summer of 2007, Luke's promising performances in a number of positions saw him rewarded with a renewed contract a year later.
Initially brought in as a central midfield player, Luke has proved a valuable option at right-back - utilizing his strong defensive talents with the drive and desire to get forward. That said, it is in the centre of the park that he clearly enjoys his football most, making a string a excellent appearances at the end of the 2008/9 season. He was subsequently rewarded with a new two-year contract.
Having learned his trade as a trainee at Gillingham, Luke has impressed with his impressive work rate and technical ability since moving to Milton Keynes. Given his relatively-tender age, there could be far more to come from him.
