Warrington-born midfielder Mark joined the Dons in July 2009 after three seasons as a professional with Crewe Alexandra, and wasted little time establishing himself as an important member of the squad.
A tall, composed central midfield player with an excellent passing range and ability to dictate play, Mark also became renowned for the late goalscoring surges into the box that became the trademark of his first season at stadiummk.
Having come through the famed Crewe Academy, Mark was awarded his first professional contract in 2006, before being sent out on loan to non-league Leigh RMI early in that season to gain first team experience.
After a handful of appearances in his first two seasons at Gresty Road, Mark came to the fore with the Railwaymen under Gudjon Thodarson during the 2008/9 season, making 23 appearances at the heart of the midfield and earning rave reviews for his industrious, energetic performances.
