Versatile defender Danny joined the Dons on a free transfer from Crewe Alexandra in July 2009 after 18 months with the Gresty Road club. He made 36 appearances during his first season in Milton Keynes, mainly operating as a right-back but often deployed as an emergency centre-half.
After graduating from the youth programme at Chelsea, Dan left the London club in 2005 to join then-Blue Square Premier side Exeter City in search of first team football.
He quickly established himself as the Grecian's first-choice right back and as one of the leading defenders outside the Football League, making 49 appearances for the Devonians and collecting one cap for the England C team, before joining the Railwaymen at the end of the 2006/7 season.
While at Crewe, Dan made 84 appearances including a number of outstanding performances at right and central midfield, proving his ability to adapt quickly to new positions.
Danny's pace and fitness make him a dangerous attacking weapon down the Dons right, while his defensive intelligence and speed of recovery make him a challenging obstacle for any forward to pass.
