A highly-rated, traditional wide-man who loves to run at defenders, Lewis joined the Dons in July 2009 from Premier League new boys Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Though injury has robbed him of the chance to truly prove himself on the big stage, Lewis's talents were well know to the Molineux club, who groomed his obvious raw talent from the age of 10.
Lewis moved through the youth ranks at Wolves before enjoying brief loan spells with Hartlepool United, Blackpool and Bury in his early days a professional.
Having made his Wolves debut in a win over Norwich City in November 2005, Lewis became a regular in Mick McCarthy's team at the start of the 2006/07 season, scoring two goals in 12 Championship appearances before a hamstring injury cut his season short.
A knee injury saw Lewis miss the whole of the 2007/08 season, but he returned to fitness a year ago with Wolves reserves and played in several development team fixtures before spending a month on loan with Colchester United in January.
Now fully fit and ready to start a new chapter in his career, Lewis will be hoping his move to Milton Keynes can be the making of him.
