Twelve extremely excited students from Leighton Middle School in Leighton Buzzard have just made their second visit to the Cowshed. They had attended a session at stadiummk six weeks previously, where they had an access-all-areas stadium tour, which had clearly whetted their appetite for more.

As they climbed the steps to the study centre, their smiles (and the noise!) indicated the next two hours were likely to be very lively, which certainly was the case!
The session included creating an origami football shirt, designing a poster about their stadium tour and guiding Lego robots around a track. The robot challenge proved particularly eventful and the whoops of delight of four particular students left nobody in doubt who the winning team were.
The only negative comments related to the fact the session could not last all day.
This course is part of the Score for Success project, an education programme designed to improve the Literacy, Numeracy and ICT skills of the young people involved. The programme was launched by the MK Dons Sport and Education Trust in January 2010 and runs in partnership with the Extended Services team of Central Bedfordshire, the first time this has been the case.
The project has been extremely successful, we are currently in the second cohort and it will continue throughout the academic year 2010-2011.
