The MK Dons Playing for Success Centre came to Drissa Diallo's aid on Thursday to help the big defender on his comeback from a shoulder injury.

Continuing his rehabilitation following a successful operation, Diallo and head physio Simon Crampton popped in to see youngsters at the Club's educational facility before using the Centre's Nintendo Wii.

Simon has been on the lookout for one of the in-demand consoles to help Drissa increase his range of movement in the joint.

And when PFS manager Angie Warde heard about the plan she was only too happy to step in and offer the Centre's services.

Drissa signed autographs for kids from Southwood Primary School before his tennis skills were put to the test by Simon.

Head physio Simon Crampton takes Drissa through some shoulder exercises on the Wii.

Angie and her Playing For Success team have been working with a number of schools in Milton Keynes to help improve literacy and numeracy, using life at the Dons as a stimulating environment.

The Centre has regular visits from players and staff, who help take pupils through modules such as Healthy Living and Media Magic.

Angie said: "It was great for the kids to have Drissa and Simon pop in and spend some time with them during the session, it gave them all a real buzz.

"It's just the kind of visit that makes Learning at the Cowshed a unique experience. You never know who might turn up and say 'hello!'"

"The Wii is one of the tools we use to help stimulate the children and if it can help our first team players get fit for the new season then they're welcome to come and use it!"
