The Ladies Day will see MK Dons supporting local charity, MK ACT, previously known as Milton Keynes Women's Aid (MKWA) who provide safe emergency accommodation in Milton Keynes for women and their children escaping domestic violence and have been doing so for over 30 years. Collectors will both be inside and outside the stadium to raise money for this great cause.
Neil Dodds of MK ACT said "We are very pleased to be working with MK Dons to raise money for the children affected by domestic violence aged between 4 and 16 and the idea is to benefit children through play therapy and creative art. If a child has missed stages of development through illness, impaired learning or trauma, they can revisit and rebuild the gaps through play."
Andrew Cullen, Group Sales and Marketing Director at MK Dons said "The Ladies Big Day was a great success last season, not only attracting club Red's biggest attendance of the season but saw many ladies experiencing the excitement of live football for the first time and returning again for more games. It is also a great way to profile the many ways ladies and girls can become involved in playing the game.
"We are proud of the facilities we have at stadiummk which was rated number one last year in an independent Football League survey for comfort, safety, sightlines and stadium cleanliness and we hope that events such as the Ladies Day will introduce more people to their local professional football team and become regular supporters".
