Milton Keynes Dons can confirm that four members of the first team squad will be leaving the Club upon the completion of their existing contracts this summer.

Defenders Sol Davis and Darren Powell plus midfielders David King and Lewis Gobern will not be offered extensions to their current deals, which expire on 30th June.

Sol, 30, joined the Dons on a free transfer from Luton last summer and made 14 appearances for the Dons last season. He also spent time out on loan with non-league Kettering Town, featuring prominently in the Poppies' run to the second round of the FA Cup.

Thirty-four-year-old Darren was also a late addition to the Dons squad before the start of the 2009/10 season, but went on to feature prominently in the first team setup until injury reduced his involvement. He made 27 appearances for the Dons, including some important displays towards the end of the season as an experienced head in a very young team.

Winger Lewis made 26 Dons appearances after joining the Club from Wolverhampton Wanderers in August. His goal in the first round of the FA Cup against Macclesfield sent Paul Ince's side on the road to their first third round appearance in four years, where they met Premier League Burnley.

Youngster David, 19, graduated from the Dons Academy in 2008 and made his first team debut at Cardiff City in the second round of the League Cup that August. Last season he spent time on loan with non-league outfit Forest Green Rovers.

The Club would like to place on record its thanks to all four players for their service in an MK Dons shirt and wish them the very best of luck in the future.
