Dons defender Jude Stirling has today (Saturday) joined League 2 side Grimsby Town on loan until the end of the season.
Jude makes the move north to Blundell Park for the opportunity to play some first team football in the final seven weeks of the season, remaining with the Mariners until Sunday 9th May.
The versatile 27-year-old could make his debut for Neil Wood's side in their home game against promotion-chasing Bournemouth this afternoon. Grimsby are in need of points as they try to stave off the threat of relegation from the Football League.
After returning from a long-term groin injury in December, Jude has been limited to just two starts and 10 substitute appearances for the Dons this season. He joined the Club in January 2007 and has since made 91 Dons appearances.
His loan with the Mariners will run up to Sunday 9th May and includes all of the season's final 10 fixtures.
