Dons manager Paul Ince will be without Republic of Ireland midfielder Stephen Gleeson for Tuesday night's visit of play-off rivals Swindon Town.

The 21-year-old Dubliner missed Saturday's 1-0 win over Leyton Orient after injuring his ankle in training on Friday and looks set to be missing for at least another week.

Uncertainty also remains over the availability of winger Andros Townsend, who was recalled by parent club Tottenham from his loan spell towards the end of last week. Ince had hoped to resume the teenager's loan following Spurs' FA Cup Sixth Round trip to Fulham on Saturday, but no decision has yet been made on Townsend's return.

Assistant manager Karl Robinson said: "Stephen's injury isn't as bad as we first feared, his own feeling is that he could be back in seven days but we'll see how he progresses.

"Andros was on the bench for Tottenham on Saturday, which is a great achievement for him and shows how well he's been playing.

"We're speaking to Spurs all the time and if the window of opportunity is there to bring him back we'll do it as soon as we can. But if the injury problems they've got give him a chance to be involved with their first team it's something we've got to respect."

Marks Carrington and Randall both staked their claim to retain midfield spots on Saturday - Carrington scoring the winner and on-loan Arsenal ace Randall showing real class in the middle of the park.

Mathias Doumbe and Sean O'Hanlon will hope to play some part against the Robins having been named on the bench at the weekend following their comebacks from groin and knee injuries.

But striker Sam Baldock and defender Darren Powell remain doubtful with respective knee problems.

Swindon boss Danny Wilson has no fresh injury concerns as his side look to recover from a 4-0 home humiliation against Bristol Rovers on Saturday.

Full-back Kevin Amankwaah made a successful return to action against the Gas, completing a full 90 minutes, and will hope to retain his place.

But Alan O'Brien (hamstring), Callum Kennedy (pelvis) and Kurt Hammonds (knee) are all still ruled out.

Tickets for Tuesday night's game are on sale from the MK Dons Online Ticket Service, over the phone on 01908 622900, from the MK Dons Box Office at stadiummk and the Box Office on Crown Walk at thecentre:mk.
