Supporters attending Saturday's Family Dons Day will be able to take advantage of a special one-day sale at the MK Dons Club Shop and do their bit for a local charity.
As part of a day that promises to be high on entertainment and excitement, supporters are reminded of two fantastic elements to the day.
SPECIAL CLUB SHOP SALE
The MK Dons Club Shop will be offering a special 20% discount on ALL instore merchandise during the Family Dons Day, including replica kit and all current sale items. That means even is an item is reduced, you can get a further 20% off if you purchase tomorrow ahead of the game against Leyton Orient.
The offer is open to all personal callers to the Club Shop on Saturday, which opens at 10.00am.
THE FOOD BANK
Dons fans will again have the chance to support local-based charity The Food Bank ahead of Saturday's game against Leyton Orient, with collections taking place around stadiummk.
The Food Bank was established in Milton Keynes in June 2004 operating out of Milton Keynes Christian Centre on Oldbrook, with the aim to provide short term, emergency food supplies, to families or individuals who hit a crisis for any reason.
Ahead of the game against Orient, The Food Bank is appealing to Dons fans to bring with you one of the items from the list below which you can deposit at their stand in front of the Arena as part of the Family Dons Day:
Breakfast Cereal; Biscuits; Sugar (500g); Milk (long life); Spaghetti (tinned); Meat (tinned); Vegetables (tinned); Tuna (tinned); Fruit (tinned); Rice Pudding (tinned); Soup (tinned); Fruit Juice (long life); Baked Beans (tinned); Tomatoes (tinned); Rice (500g); Dried Pasta (500g); Pasta Sauce; Cup-A-Soups; Jam; Tea Bags.
If you forget to bring a can with you, you could always nip over to Asda and pick one up to do your bit for a worthy cause!
People are referred to The Food Bank via a network of over 70 professional care agencies within Milton Keynes and, in 2007, The Food Bank gave out 1057 food parcels. However, in 2008, this number more than doubled with 2390 parcels being issued. This trend is expected to continue due to the current recession, so any help you can give with donations of tinned or dried food or funding, would be greatly appreciated.
