Fans of Carlisle United, Leeds United, Southampton and MK Dons are being urged sing when they're tweeting - by joining the Johnstone's Paint Trophy on social networking site Twitter.

With the second legs of the trophy area finals looming and the competition reaching boiling point, Johnstone's is urging fans of the four remaining teams to start tweeting their thoughts.

There will be competitions and chances to grab the latest trophy news, and Johnstone's is now appealing for as many supporters to start following them.

Twitter has become a worldwide phenomenon and is popular for its service offering short text-based updates for subscribers to each particular site.

Johnstone's Paint Trophy sponsorship manager Teresa Hardwick said that the facility would be vital in keeping fans abreast of the daily goings-on as the final at Wembley looms.

She said: "Our Twitter is easy for everyone to follow and we are aiming to make it the biggest and best around, with a number of compelling reasons to keep following us. We already have more than 400 followers, but we want at least 1,000 by the time the final arrives!"
