Dons manager Paul Ince is waiting on the fitness of defender Mathias Doumbe ahead of Saturday's visit of Exeter City.
The Frenchman was replaced at half-time during Tuesday night's 2-0 defeat at Colchester nursing a groin strain, and his fitness is being closely monitored ahead of the clash with the Grecians.
Doumbe has formed part of a consistent Dons back-four in recent weeks and Ince will be keen to have the former Plymouth man available, particularly as Jude Stirling serves a one-match ban at the weekend.
Having replaced Doumbe on Tuesday night, Stirling was dismissed for denying Colchester's Kevin Lisbie a goalscoring opportunity just eight minutes after his introduction.
Assistant boss Karl Robinson said: "Mathias Doumbe was carrying an injury before Tuesday's game, but we felt we needed to keep the back four together to get that continuity we've enjoyed recently.
"He didn't last the game, he's still having treatment now and we'll see how he is ahead of the game on Saturday.
"We have to be careful with all of them at the moment due to the number of games we're playing. The more fatigued you become, the more prone you are to injuries because your muscles become tighter and groins, hamstrings and thighs become an issue."
Having been forced into resting both Jermaine Easter and Peter Leven for the midweek game in Essex, Ince will hope to have two of his four leading scorers available on Saturday - particularly with Easter having scored three goals against Exeter in their two meetings already this season.
Exeter boss Paul Tisdale will hope to have defender Rob Edwards available, despite the Welsh international missing the Grecians' last two games.
Edwards suffered a facial injury in the 2-0 win over Leeds two weeks ago, leaving Tisdale with only one recognised centre-half at his disposal - skipper Matt Taylor.
Should Edwards miss out, Tisdale may opt for the three-man central defence that has been deployed of late - featuring Taylor, Steve Tully and Richard Duffy.
Tickets for Saturday's game are subject to GRADE B prices and are on sale from the MK Dons Online Ticket Service, over the phone on 01908 622900, from the MK Dons Box Office at stadiummk and the Box Office on Crown Walk at thecentre:mk.
