
Milton Keynes Dons have extended the contract of goalkeeper Willy Gueret, keeping him with the Club until June 2011.
The 36-year-old Frenchman extends his stay in Milton Keynes after the Club decided to take up the one-year option on his existing contract.
Willy has continued to be one of the Dons' most consistent performers in this his third season at stadiummk, producing some outstanding performances to underline his status as one of the best 'keepers in League 1.
He told mkdons.com: "I'm delighted to be staying here for another year; it's a privilege to be part of what this Club is trying to build.
"The progress the Club has been making over the last few years has been unbelievable, every day you feel it growing and growing and I hope to be part of it for a long time.
"I still feel like I have a lot to offer, I'm as fit as I've ever been and I've worked hard to stay the best shape I possibly can."
Having joined the Dons from Swansea City in August 2007, Gueret has made 128 appearances for the Club, including 31 this season, making him an ever-present in Paul Ince's side.
His strong physical presence behind the defence and his excellent shot-stopping ability have made him a big favourite with Dons supporters, who voted him their Player of the Year during the League 2-winning 2007/08 season.
Assistant manager Karl Robinson added: "Willy Gueret has been a fantastic servant to this Football Club for the last three years and continues to put in the same levels of performance that made him a hero to fans in Milton Keynes.
"He's got extremely high standards, just as the manager has, and for that reason he's still one of the best goalkeepers in this division.
"It's great that we'll have him here for at least another year."
