Second-half goals from substitute Awadh Ahmed and Charlie Collins saw MK Dons past brave Bishop's Stortford in the second round of the FA Youth Cup.
Mike Dove's youngsters booked a third round clash with either Swindon Town or Leyton Orient with another professional display against non-league opposition at stadiummk, and fully merited a hard-earned victory.
Dons enjoyed the better of a tactical first period, moving the ball with increasing confidence through midfield, but it was the visitors who forced the better chances.
The first one they created themselves - Dan Godfrey heading wastefully wide from a George Wappett cross on 24 minutes - but the second was gifted to them as Mark Lee lost out to Francis Adu-Boadu on the edge of the box, who in turn beat George Williams before slicing wide.
It would get better for the Dons before half-time, with Hayden Carter forcing a good save from Bert Greenwood on 39 minutes.

Adam Chicksen leads the Dons out against the Bishops. |
But it was the introduction of young Ahmed that brought the game to life after the interval.
Playing high on the right flank, forcing the full-back to play from inside his own half, Ahmed's pace caused the Bishops an immediate problem and allowed right-back Jordan Browne to join the attack.
Browne was first to work Greenwood, charging forward from full-back to force a good save with his feet, and Igor Coronado stretched the Bishops 'keeper even further as the game came to life around the hour-mark.
But from Chicksen's resulting corner, Greenwood flapped at the high ball and Ahmed duly punished him - stepping inside the challenge of his marker before rifling home superbly from 15 yards.
To their credit, the visitors hit back almost immediately, forcing a corner at the other end that was whipped to the near post and forced into the net by skipper Sargent.

Troy Farden ghosts past his marker. |
It could have been a turning point in the game, but Dove's team refused to be held back and regained the initiative within a minute.
Collins won possession on the left, fed Dowling inside him and started a driving run through the Bishops defence. Dowling spotted the charge and dropped the ball perfectly in behind, allowing Collins to head down neatly before lifting over the advancing Greenwood.
Chicksen came close to adding to the scoring, but Greenwood managed to keep out his late free-kick.
And despite late Bishops calls for a penalty after Browne and Elliott King had collided in the box, the home side held on to book a hard-earned spot in the third round.
Dons: Harrison, Browne, McGovern, Lee, Chicksen (c), Williams, Dowling, Farden, Collins, Coronado (Plowright 73), Carter (Ahmed 46).
Subs not used: Glass, Ivey-Ward, Walster.
