Dons duo Dean Lewington and Sean O'Hanlon have both been named in the prestigious PFA League 1 Team of the Year for the 2008/09 season.
Skipper Lewington and deputy O'Hanlon were honoured on Sunday night at the PFA's annual awards ceremony at Park Lane's Grosvenor House Hotel, having been voted for by fellow professionals throughout the division.
The pair were singled out as the top performers in their respective positions and joined the likes of Leicester City's Matt Fryatt, Peterborough United's George Boyd and Leeds United's Fabian Delph in the divisional eleven.
Manchester United midfielder Ryan Giggs took home the night's top honour as the PFA Player of the Year while Aston Villa's Ashley Young was named Young Player of the Year. It's the first time Welshman Giggs, 35, has won the award in his 18-year playing career after an impressive season with the Premier League and European Champions.
The Dons having two players named in the League 1 line-up highlights what has been a fantastic campaign for Roberto Di Matteo's men, who have already secured a place in the play-offs in their first season following promotion from League 2.

In his first year as the Club's full-time skipper, the ever-reliable Lewington has made 41 appearances at left-back, including 38 in the league, and has even contributed in the goalscoring department with two goals. Combining solid defending with an appetite to get forward, Lewington has been one of the Dons' most consistent performers this term and adds this honour to his place in the League 2 Team of the Year last season.
O'Hanlon's performances have been equally outstanding this season. The strapping centre-back has made 43 appearances, including 40 in the league and has bagged four goals in his third campaign with the Dons. He was last week named Player of the Year by the Football Writers and MKDSA at the Club's own Player of the Year event at stadiummk.
Highlights from Sunday night's 2008/09 PFA Player of the Year Awards will be shown on Sky Sports 1 on Monday night from 6.00pm.
