If Aaron Wilbraham ever needed confirmation of his place in the hearts of the MK Dons supporters, it was delivered emphatically on Tuesday night.
The 15-goal striker left stadiummk clutching both the awards for Player of the Year and the Players' Player of the Year to cap a memorable season fourth season in a Dons shirt.
The 29-year-old Mancunian's unique blend of strength, guile and eye-for-goal has unquestionably been the spearhead of a Dons attack that has outgunned everything else in League 1 this season. His personal haul is also the best of his career with three games still to play.
But his status as the Club's premier marksman has not always been secure after finding himself out of favour soon after Danny Wilson made him a Dons player four years ago.
And having improved both in terms of goals and, according to him, performances with every passing campaign, being voted Player of the Year by the fans has confirmed for Wilbraham that he is in exactly the right place.
"For people to step forward and vote for me makes me feel like I've been completely accepted here. I didn't play a lot when Danny Wilson first brought me to the Club, so to be recognised like this four years on is a big honour.
"The fans have always been great to me, very supportive, but for them to get up and vote for me to win something like this makes me feel very proud.
"I didn't expect to get it because of the calibre of players we've got here, there are so many people that have had good seasons.

"I can't believe it to be honest, but I'm very proud to have been given the two best awards I could have hoped for. It's a really proud, warm feeling."
As well as taking home the night's main award, Wilbraham's outstanding campaign saw him also pick up the award voted for by his team mates.
It's a deserved double for one of the training ground's most popular characters, but he says there may be more than just on-pitch activities behind some of the votes.
"It's nice that the lads to recognise what you do for the team, but I think because I'm so busy off the pitch, running the fantasy football and stuff, perhaps I pinched a few votes there as well!
"Seriously though, it's a great bunch of lads here, we spend a lot of time together throughout the season and for them to vote for me is a great feeling.
"I feel like I've had a good season with goals and the way I've played and for people to recognise that means a lot to me. But you never go to these awards ceremonies thinking you might win.
"I've played well in other seasons and perhaps not got the goals to show for the performances. This year I think I've had both, which is what you want as a striker, but a lot of it is down to the team around me."
