Milton Keynes Dons FC can today reveal that defender Sean O'Hanlon has become the latest player to commit his future to the Club - signing a contract extension until June 2011.
O'Hanlon is the third player to extend his time in Milton Keynes in as many days this week, following striker Aaron Wilbraham and goalkeeper Willy Gueret in agreeing terms on a new deal.
The Club's current vice captain, who turns 26 next week, marked his 100th league appearance for the Dons with a goal in the win over Leeds United last Saturday and has been an ever-present in the team this season.
Sean has been a key figure at the heart of the defence since joining the Dons in July 2006, weighing in with 12 goals from 119 appearances, and everyone at the Club is delighted to have retained his services for a further two seasons.
Sean said: "It feels great to get everything sorted, now I can concentrate on helping the Club fight for the promotion it wants.
"The Championship is where I want to be playing, it's where the Club wants to be playing and we've given ourselves a great opportunity to get there.
"With MK Dons I feel I can fulfil my ambitions to play in the next division, and maybe one day even the Premier League."
Dons Chairman Pete Winkelman added: "Sean has been one of our most consistent performers over the last two-and-a-half years and it is with great pleasure that we make him part of the Club's long-term future.
"Roberto, the backroom staff and Sean's team mates will all testify to what a fantastic professional he is and he is one of a number of leaders whose qualities we are able to call upon."
