Mikey Burrows presents live, full-match commentary of Dons matches every Saturday on Horizon Radio, or you can hear every single game on Dons World.
I feel I should start this week's blog with an apology to someone very special. Someone who I may have hurt by being insensitive. Someone who has brought me a lot of happiness recently and I treated them badly.
No I'm not talking about forgetting to tell the future Mrs Burrows that last weekend's game was moved to a Friday so I could avoid Christmas shopping.
I'm talking about Jemal Johnson and his "technicolour dreamboots." I may have said some things whilst commentating on Dons World on Friday night that, with the benefit of hindsight, I didn't mean.
Normally I'm a stickler for tradition, there is a part of me that feels pink boots just aren't right.
Maybe it dates back to my childhood when I asked my dad for a pair of red boots, he told me only the best players could get away with coloured footwear, before buying me plain ones.
The truth is whatever colour boots Johnson has been wearing recently he's been on fire. His strikes at Walsall and Brighton were superb, but the best was the solo effort against Hereford.

JJ's pink boots - not for the young Burrows. |
It was a truly magnificent goal from a player who should be nicknamed "Santa" such is his tendency to bring us presents at this time of year.
I remember some vital strikes at the same period last season; they ensured the Dons came through Christmas still fighting at the top. If he repeats the trick this year, as is looking likely, it'll be a festive delight.
His recent performances have also shown the quality if not quantity at Roberto Di Matteo's disposal. Together with Mark Wright and Jason Puncheon, our wingers have been almost unplayable in the last two months.
Our colleagues from Brighton's press pack were quite simply blown away by the Dons attacking prowess, I listened intently to their post match phone-in as the home fans registered their disgust.
Before the game I had told them my now regular away day joke about the Dons being better travellers than Judith Chalmers (one good joke in 24 years, you better believe I'm milking it). They all responded by saying if we scored three Brighton would score four.
I felt duly smug as I left the ground, we'd won a very entertaining game, the manager shook my hand and the Chairman said hello, plus I was safe in the knowledge I could sleep all the way back to Milton Keynes thus avoiding any more of Lee Scriven's stories.
So once the Leeds match is over to Bristol I shall jingle all the way, because it's oh such fun to see the MK Dons win away.
