Mikey Burrows presents live, full-match commentary of Dons matches every Saturday on Horizon Radio, or you can hear every single game on Dons World.
I know I like to moan a lot but sometimes being a football reporter is absolutely brilliant.
Forgetting all the endless travelling and research it often puts me in some unbelievable situations, like commentating from Wembley and being paid to talk about football.
Doing this job also puts me in the position to meet figures from within the game I love.
This week I had the opportunity to chat to a real hero of mine, it left me with goose pimples. The funny thing is I meet real legends all the time. The first time I met Roberto Di Matteo I just couldn't believe who I was talking to.
It was the same when Paul Ince arrived at the club, these were players I grew up watching and wanting to be.
I think it's the same when young fans meet our current stars; there are people who flock around our press box wanting to speak to Paul Mitchell whenever he's alongside me.
Sometimes people just point and stare at him but he never seems to notice.
The last few years have been an absolute rollercoaster for this club, but with that comes heroes and villains. Names like Andrews and O'Hanlon have gone down in history as scoring the goals that won the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
And who can predict how many of this season's players will etch their names into Dons folklore? I get carried away more than most but I can't help thinking about promotion and all that'll come with it.
The best thing about this current bunch is that they really care, they really want to succeed, and maybe that's the most important part of obtaining cult hero status.
The players I always idolised were the battlers, the ones who gave their all. That's probably why I get on so well with Mitch, although I'd like to stress I in no way idolise him . . . he'd never let me forget it if I wrote that.
You can probably guess I've had far too much time to think about things this week. I hate having weekends with no game. Admittedly it gave me time to get over a bout of man-flu, but there was serious pressure from a female acquaintance to do the "S" word.
I hate to think how many Dons fans were forced to go "shopping" on Saturday.
