Norwich City have confirmed that winger Luke Chadwick is facing a spell of eight-ten weeks on the sidelines following the knee injury he picked up on loan with MK Dons.

Chadwick has returned to Carrow Road after sustaining the injury in training last week, and Canaries medics are not predicting a return for the former Manchester United man until the New Year.

Chadwick had been in excellent form for the Dons since arriving at the start of October, scoring three goals in seven appearances and wowing Dons fans with a string of outstanding performances.

The injury is a cruel twist of fortune for the Cambridge-based midfielder, who has missed much of the last two seasons with persistent injury problems but finally looked to be rediscovering his best form with the Dons.

His loan spell at stadiummk was due to expire at the end of December.
