Thursday morning training had an added sense of determination about it as MK Dons prepared for Saturday's visit of Cheltenham Town.

After a day off on Wednesday to contemplate Tuesday night's painful defeat to Stockport, it was an eager group that took to the training pitch this morning and the energy that went into the short, sharp session was obviously targeted at putting things right.

With the match schedule as packed as it currently is, the Thursday morning session was understandably light but if anything that made everyone more keen to get something out of it.

The warm-up and work on technique was followed by some lively drills, a small-sided game and some finishing practice, with Jemal Johnson in particular finding his range.

Whether it was deserved or not is always a matter up for debate, but Luke Chadwick found himself wearing the dreaded yellow jersey - voted the worst trainer of the week by his team mates.

Aaron Wilbraham and Florian Sturm continued to work on their respective comebacks from injury but for them, along with Danny Swailes and Craig Dobson, the weekend's game will come too soon.

Flavien Belson will be back in contention to face the Robins after completing a three-match suspension.
