BELSON HIT WITH THREE MATCH BAN

Posted on: Sun 12 Oct 2008

MK Dons midfielder Flavien Belson has been handed a three-match suspension after being sent off in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Bournemouth on Tuesday night.

The French midfielder, 21, was shown a straight red card by referee Anthony Taylor in the 46th minute of the game for a tackle on Cherries striker Brett Pitman.

The dismissal has been classified as serious foul play - an offence which carries a mandatory three-match ban and the Club has decided not to appeal the decision.

Flavien will be suspended for Saturday's lunchtime fixture against Carlisle at stadiummk, the trip to Crewe Alexandra on October 18 and the home game against Stockport County on October 21.
